Scene 1: Lily and her mother
Mother: Lily, my dear, take this basket of cakes and milk to your grandmother. She is not feeling well.
Lily: (nodding) Yes, Mommy! I’ll be careful on the way.
Scene 2: Meeting the Wolf
As Lily walked through the forest, she met a cunning wolf.
Wolf: Hello there, little girl. Where are you going all by yourself?
Lily: I’m going to see my grandma. She’s sick.
Wolf: Oh, that’s very kind of you. Which path do you take to get to her house?
Lily: I go straight down this path and then turn left at the big oak tree.
Wolf: Thank you for telling me. I think I’ll take a shortcut.
Scene 3: At Grandma’s House
The wolf arrived at Grandma’s house before Lily did. He knocked on the door.
Grandma: Who is it?
Wolf: It’s me, your granddaughter, Lily.
Grandma: Come in, dear.
But instead of letting Grandma hide, the wolf ate her up!
When Lily arrived, the wolf greeted her in Grandma’s voice.
Wolf: Come closer, my dear. The better to see you with.
Lily: Grandma, why are your eyes so big?
Wolf: To see you better, my child.
Lily: And why are your ears so big?
Wolf: To hear you better.
Lily: And why is your mouth so big?
Wolf: To eat you better!
Just as the wolf was about to pounce, a woodsman came by and saved Lily. He killed the wolf and rescued Grandma from his stomach.
From that day on, Lily learned never to talk to strangers in the forest again.
